POL - Pole Hill VOR/DME 10th August 2003 Pole Hill VOR is in quite a desolate spot about 7.5miles SE of Burnley, Lancs. It's just into the West Yorkshire boundary, about 2 miles due North of Todmorden. I took the tiny East-West road from Hebden Bridge through Blackshaw Head and found POL just opposite the junction with the road down to Eastwood.
