BNN - Bovingdon VOR/DME 3rd March 2003 Bovingdon VOR/DME is on the old disused Bovingdon Airfield off the B4505 near Hemel Hempstead, NW of London. There's racing and a weekend market on the site now. The Bovingdon VOR is used as one of the four main arrivals beacons for London Heathrow and you can often see traffic in the hold for Heathrow above.
